The main areas of my research specialization include social and political philosophy, the philosophy of law, and American pragmatism. In addition to numerous articles and book chapters, I am the author of Pragmatist Egalitarianism(2018), the editor of the Cambridge Companion to Rorty (2021), and the co-editor of The Moral Psychology of Anxiety(2024),Pragmatism and Justice (2017) and Pessimism of the Intellect, Optimism of the Will: The Political Philosophy of Kai Nielsen (2012).

My latest book, which explores some of the many connections between anxiety and philosophy, was published with Oxford University Press in summer 2024.

I am currently working on a book project on the moral and political philosophy of William James.
